Anna Glorene Fisher, of Boonville, went home to heaven on June 28, 2016.  Anna was born October 10, 1942 in Boonville, MO a daughter of Lloyd W. Mason and Helen Mildred Powell Mason.

Anna attended school in Boonville from kindergarten through eighth grade at Summner School and ninth to eleventh grade at Laura Speed Elliott.  When her parents moved to the Fayette area, Anna attended Harrisburg High School where she graduated.

After graduating, Anna married and was the mother of three sons.  She was employed at the University of Missouri Hospital, starting as a nurse technician and later transferring to the neurology department working with Drs. John Summers, James Dexter, Parddp Sahota as directors and staying in that department as a neurophysiology diagnosis technician until her retirement in December 1999 after thirty-four years of service.

Anna was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Clark Fork, MO.  After marriage and living in Fayette, she became a dedicated member of St Paul United Methodist Church in Fayette.  She gifted her church and the community with her musical talents as church pianist, serving in the music department and wherever else she was needed.  She had a special gift of making others feel better during rough times.

Anna gave tirelessly to the community playing at local functions.  Anna and her special friend, the late, Earl Turner, Sr. helped countless area families heal from the loss of their loved ones by providing music for funeral services.

Cherishing her memory are two sons, Norman Fisher and wife, Susie of Hollister, CA and Steven Fisher of Fayette; two brothers, Larry Mason of Columbia and Warren Mason and wife, Lorene of University City, MO; her much loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of other family, including a special niece, Kenee Gaines; the Turner family and  many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William “Dee” Fisher; a son, William Lloyd “Dinky” Fisher and sister, Linda Gaines.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 7, 2016 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Fayette.  Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 6 at Carr-Yager Funeral Home in Fayette.
