Dewey William Wells, of New Franklin, died January 28, 2016 at his home.  He was 64 years old.

He was born in Fayette, MO on May 13, 1951 to the late Gene and Evelee Blessing Wells.  Dewey was a retired truck driver and enjoyed playing the guitar and the bass guitar and fishing.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include four children, Justin Wells, Jason Wells, Jessi Wilmsmeyer and Heather Wells; four brothers, Don, David, Lynn and Mike Wells; one sister, Lee Montgomery and ten grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Adam Wells; a daughter, Rebecca Wells; and three brothers, Glenn, Dennis and Dee Wells.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 1, 2016 at Carr-Yager Funeral Home in Fayette.  Burial with military honors will follow at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Jacksonville. 

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Carr-Yager Funeral Home.
