Janet Sue Lane Hussey, age 79, of Fayette, passed away November 23, 2016 at Columbia Healthcare in Columbia, MO.

Janet was born on July 9, 1937 in Pickneyville, Illinois to John  and Sue Wihl Lane.  She was employed as a dance teacher and legal secretary.  Her first love was the performing arts including music, dance, theatre and voice.  She could play any instrument she picked up and worked professionally in the theatre for many years before starting a dance school in Fayette to teach future generations.

Survivors include two daughters, Beth Hussey of Rocheport and Bridget Hussey of Fayette; two grandsons, Feyd and Roan Carr both of Fayette and two sisters, Jeanne Lane of Grandview, MO and Judy Sahm of Wildwood, MO.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Lane.

A Celebration of her Life will be held in early January.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Fayette Area Community Theatre or the pet rescue charity of donor’s choice.
