Karen Sue Schumaker

1959 – 2017

Karen Sue Schumaker, of Boonville, passed away May 19, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was 58 years old and formerly lived in New Franklin.

Karen was born February 25, 1959 in Columbia, a daughter of Wilburn and Billie Sue (Creber) Talbert. She married Darrell Schumaker on Jaunary 28, 1984.  He preceded her in death.

She adored working in the summers at the New Franklin Pool.  She loved all of her “borrowed” kids there.  Karen was also employed at B & J Bowl in Boonville.

Cherishing her memory are two sons, Devin Schumaker of Boonville, Ronnie Perkins and fiancé, Crystal Chapman of Bunceton; a daughter, Samantha Thompson and husband, Chad of Boonville; two step-sons, Kevin Schumaker and wife, Ann of Wooldridge, Corey Schumaker and wife, Faith of California; two sisters, Cathy Rupard of Harrisburg and Anne Siglinger of Boonville.  Also surviving are five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a step-son and a great-grandson.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Clarks Chapel Cemetery in Franklin, Missouri.  Following the graveside services a meal and time of fellowship will be held at the New Franklin City Park Community Building.
