1962 - 2018

Katherine Louise “Katie” Halferty, of Armstrong, Missouri, passed away March 18, 2018 in Fayette.  She was 56 years old.

Katie was born February 16, 1962. She was employed with the Perkins Home and Endless Options in Fayette in resident direct support and in private homecare in the Howard County area.  Katie enjoyed helping others and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Lance Green of Madison, IN, Barry Halferty of Pataluma, CA and Jordan Green of Armstrong, MO; her mother, Gayle Halferty of Moberly, MO; brothers, Curt and Mike Halferty and grandchildren, Jake McCollum, Indika Halferty, Judah Halferty and Sage Halferty.  Also cherishing her memory are the many friends she worked with and clients she cared for.

Services celebrating Katie’s life will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Carr-Yager Funeral Home in Fayette.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Endless Options in Fayette.

Katie Halferty will be missed by many.  She touched the lives of everyone she met.

She held her family close and dear to her heart.
