Ted Lammers, of New Franklin and formerly of Pilot Grove, passed away October 5, 2016 at Katy Manor in Pilot Grove.  He was 55 years old.

Ted was born in Boonville on July 20, 1961 to Kenneth and Patricia Felten Lammers.  He married Cathy Baker-Brooks on June 11, 1994 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pilot Grove. 

He had been employed as a custodian at Pilot Grove C-4 Schools for 18 years recently retiring because his health.  Mr. Lammers was also previously employed with Toastmaster in Boonville and the family’s Country Store in Blackwater.  He was a 1980 graduate of Pilot Grove High School and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pilot Grove.  He was a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Missouri Tigers and Kansas City Chiefs.  He was a former member of the Pilot Grove Lions Club and the Boonville Eagles Lodge.

Ted is lovingly remembered by his wife, Cathy of New Franklin; his parents, Kenneth and Patricia Lammers of Blackwater; two step-sons, Jason Brooks and Drew (Chloie) Brooks both of Columbia; two brothers, Jeff (Cindy) Lammers of Boonville and Dwain (Janna) Lammers of Pilot Grove; three sisters, Terri (Jon) Stambaugh of Wardsville, Lisa (Greg) Young of Pilot Grove and Jackie (Greg) Stegner of Blue Springs; five grandchildren, Keenan, Aidan, Harper, Asher and Jillian Brooks and fourteen nieces and nephews and three great-nieces and nephews.

Two visitations will be held, the first will be from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, October 8, at Markland-Yager Funeral Home, 3855 Hwy. 5 North, New Franklin, MO. A second visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, October 9, with a Rosary at 5 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 407 Harris St., Pilot Grove, MO.

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Ted’s life will be Monday, October 10 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pilot Grove with Father Phil Kane officiating.

Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Pilot Grove.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Pilot Grove School’s Booster Club and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in care of Markland-Yager Funeral Home, P.O. Box 126, New Franklin, MO 65274.
