Thomas Lee Sloat, Sr., of Fulton, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at his home surrounded by family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 27, 2017, at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel.   A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. 

Tom was born to James Leroy and Helen Eagle Sloat on June 9, 1941, in Centralia, Illinois and they preceded him in death.  He served in the U. S. Marine Corp.  On August 20, 1980, he married Debbie Bea in Columbia and she survives.

Tom is also survived by his children, Tom Lee Sloat, Jr. of Illinois, Mike Sloat (Sue) of Centralia, Illinois, Shannon Geinn of Ashville, North Carolina, Kandie Smith (Bobby) of Kingdom City, Jamie Sloat (Chris Bibby) of Columbia, and John Sloat (Kristal) of Evansville, Indiania; and eight grandchildren, Emily, Ben, Cindy, Alex, Abigail, Jersey, Jordan and Madison
