Jimmie Lee Wyatt, 82, of New Franklin, Missouri, passed away March 20, 2024, at the Lodge in Fayette.
Jimmie was the son of J.C. and Helen Wyatt. He was born August 17, 1941, in Boone County but moved at two years of age to his family farm in New Franklin, where he lived throughout his life. He graduated from New Franklin High School, where he met the love of his life Diana Gardner. They married in July 1961.
Jimmie had a passion for animals and had many cherished pets throughout his life. Jimmie and Diana adopted many cats and dogs but would feed any stray that showed up at their door.
Jimmie was an incredibly hard-working man. He had a varied career that included farming, river barge operator, electrician and finally ending his career at the Square D Company. He stayed busy in retirement gardening, tending to the yard and cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents J.C. and Helen, his wife Diana and his beloved daughter Anjie. He is survived by his son Darrin (Marlene) and his grandsons Jared and Ian.
Funeral services will be held at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin, Missouri on Saturday, March 30, 2024. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Big Springs Cemetery.
