Donald Wayne Wilkerson

1933 – 2017

Donald Wayne Wilkerson, 84, of New Franklin, passed away at his home on September 22, 2017. 

Donald was born in Niangua, Missouri on May 7, 1933 a son of Granville and Nola Dudley Wilkerson.  He married Darlene Maupin in Boonville, MO on September 10, 1960.  She survives at their home.

Mr. Wilkerson was employed for many years with Koss Construction in Springfield, MO as a truck foreman.  He loved his family and enjoyed repairing trucks.

Donald and Darlene are the parents of three children, Angela Fisher and husband, Mike of Strafford, MO, Christy Smith of Boonville and Rex Wilkerson of New Franklin and the grandparents of three grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is Donald’s beloved canine companion Beaver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Calvin Wilkerson.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
