1945 – 2018

Janet May Kroeckel, age 72, of New Franklin, went home to be with the Lord on February 6, 2018 at her home.

Janet was born August 26, 1945 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Ralph and Betty Metzger Stogsdill.  She married Donald Kroeckel on June 7, 1999 in Arvada, CO.  He preceded her in death in July 2003.  Following his death she returned to the area making her home in New Franklin.

Mrs. Kroeckel retired as publications clerk for the Natural Hazards Center at the University of Colorado.  She attended Riverside Christian Church in Boonville where she served in various roles over the years.

She leaves behind her children, Lori (Mark) Hibbs of Moberly; Amy (Sal) DeSousa of Hanford, CA; Crystal Donette Kroeckel of Paris, MO; Audrey Feather-Hamilton of Dexter, MO and John Orlando Kroeckel of Clark, MO; a sister, Sue Holley of Colorado; ten grandchildren, Anthony Clark, Kimberly Clark, Melissa Clark, Megan DeSousa, Nicole DeSousa, Izes Lorton, Izaac Feather, Trinity Feather, Nova Hamilton and Penelope Kroeckel and five great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are many good friends who were considered family by Janet.

Services honoring her life will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 12, 2018 at Riverside Christian Church, 17111 Klinton Dr., Boonville, MO.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Show-Me Christian Youth Home.
