Ann (Brandes) Teel

Ann (Brandis) Teel, 88, of Columbia, passed away on August 24, 2026. Ann was born to Almer and Leila (Tracy) Skretting on April 15, 1938 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ann married John G. Brandis and together, they had their two children; Sherry Brandis and Scott Brandis. After the passing of her first husband, she went on to marry the late Harold W. Teel. 

In 1958, Ann earned an Associates Degree from Stephen’s College. From there, she was a dedicated stay-at-home mother and a part-time insurance secretary. She also spent four years as a cafeteria cashier at Oakland Jr. High (Oakland Middle School). Ann was the most proud of her over 50 year tenure as an Avon sales representative.  

Ann is survived by her two children, Sherry Brandis and Scott Brandis.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her two husbands; John G. Brandis and Harold W. Teel; and one brother Dick Skretting.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Central Missouri Humane Society, 616 Big Bear Blvd, Columbia, MO 65202.

Services will be private.
