Bobbie Irvin

1940 – 2021

 

Roberta Ann “Bobbie” Irvin, 80, of New Franklin, passed away December 6, 2021 at Ashley Manor in Boonville.

 

Bobbie was born in San Francisco, California on December 23, 1940 a daughter of the late Carroll Lee and Olive Lillian Grieve Jones.  She married John Thomas Irvin in Davis, California on November 24, 1957.  He preceded her in death on March 3, 2013.

 

Prior to retirement to New Franklin, Bobbie had been employed as an office worker with Black Hawk Insurance Agency and Woodland Mall both in Woodland, California.  Mr. Irvin was a minister and Bobbie shared in the ministry as a music leader and pianist.  Bobbie was an avid reader and especially enjoyed history publications and making Christmas candy was her specialty.

 

Bobbie was a faithful wife and loving mother and grandmother.  Cherishing her memory are three children, Michelle Hall and husband, Jerry of New Franklin, Carol Ogren and husband, Russell of Port Oford, Oregon and Sherry Stow and husband, Christopher of Vacaville, California; two brothers, Jeffrey Jones of Savannah, Georgia and David Jones of Washington State.  Also surviving are five grandchildren, Bonnie O’Leary, Kelly Paquin, Peter Stow, Olivia Hall and Max Hall and seven great-grandchildren, Colby and Lucas Ogren, Autumn O’Leary, Annalee Lovino, Maci and Shilo Stow and Rylynn Peek.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Jones.

 

Services honoring Bobbie’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Firm Foundation Foursquare Church in Boonville with Pastor David Purvis officiating.

 

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
