Dixie Dale Betts, 79, of New Franklin passed away peacefully Monday, July 20, 2026, at her home. She was born on September 3, 1946, in Prairie Home, Missouri to Leo and Dorothy (Kirschman) Trimble-Hicks, who preceded her in death.
She as a 1963 graduate of Boonville High School and had been previously employed with Matco in Boonville and owned and operated flea markets. She loved finding good bargains at flea markets and was an avid collector of vintage salt and pepper shakers.
Dixie is survived by her sister: Peggy Adair of Wooldridge, two half-sisters: Susie Knox and Sherry Wilson, one half-brother: Patrick Aldridge and by her nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husbands: Ronald Betts and Johnny Livering; two brothers: Barry Trimble and Gene Trimble, one sister: Gerry Purvis.
Services are private for the family. Memorial Contributions may be made to The Family of Dixie Dale Betts payable to Markland-Yager Funeral Home, P. O. Box 126, New Franklin, MO 65274 to assist with Dixie's funeral expense.
Dixie will be buried with her family at Copp's Chapel Cemetery in Wooldridge.
