George Lee Wright

George Lee Wright, age 86, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Crisp Regional Hospital.

George was born June 29, 1934 in Clever, Missouri to Thomas Leonard Wright and Helen Louise Brucher Wright.  He graduated from the University of Missouri and was a long-time member of Linn Memorial United Methodist Church in Fayette, Missouri.  George loved to paint and was an avid reader.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Wright Chorn of Cordele, Georgia; sister-in-law, Kathryn Wright; nieces, Melinda Whiddon, Beth Stefek, Joan Myers, Sandra Miller, Sue McElhaney and Jill Schwarm. 

George was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Thomas Wright.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Fayette.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Fayette PAWS Program would please the family. These memorial contributions may be sent to Carr-Yager Funeral Home, P.O. Box 210, Fayette, Missouri 65248.
