Jackie Glenn Zigler

Jackie Glenn Zigler, 79, a resident of Columbia, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at University Hospital. 

Jackie was born on June 19, 1943, in Boone County, the son of George Fielden Zigler and Goldie L. Sapp Zigler. On December 16, 1961, in Columbia, he married Bonnie Jo Jones, and she survives of the home. 

Jackie was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting, he especially loved pheasant hunting and hunting for mushrooms. He owned and operated Zigler Roofing for close to 50 years, retiring in 2013. Over the years of being in business for himself, he made many friends, and he treasured every relationship he made. He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. 

He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his wife of over 61 years, Bonnie Jo Zigler of Columbia; four daughters, Bonnie Sue Noah of Columbia, Joyce Romero-Perez of Columbia, Carol Jane Cockrell and husband Jessie of Huntsville, and Glenda Ella Burns of Columbia; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Kathleen Chick of California, Mo.

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Randy Lee Zigler; three siblings, Raymond Zigler, Margaret Sutherland, and Dale Zigler. 

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel with a visitation being held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
