Lindy Ross Tarwater

Lindy Ross Tarwater passed into the loving arms of Jesus June 16, 2021 at home in Columbia, MO.

He was born August 9, 1929 in Gallatin Missouri and met the love of his life Margaret and they married on April 23, 1950, and recently celebrated 71 years of marriage and she survives him in the home.

He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Navy reserves after the war. Most of his working career was spent in grocery store management, but his real pride came from the time he spent serving the community as an ombudsman.

He served the elderly and the retirement community in nursing homes, and care centers in the mid-Missouri area for over 20 years. He loved to brighten other's days by singing and helping them to know the Lord and his savior Jesus.

He was very active in church and choir, and a strong believer in the word of our Lord and the awesome powerful love of Jesus Christ. Luke 23:43 states, and Lindy knew this well "and he said to him Truly, I say to you today, you who believe in me will be with me in paradise". He was ready to go home and be with Jesus. He is truly in paradise in Heaven.

On Monday, July 26, 2021, there will be a Celebration of Life at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel in Columbia starting at 6:00 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 6:45 p.m. followed by Military Honors and a Memorial Service in recognition of a life well lived. There is no doubt when he passed from this world into Heaven and Jesus wrapped him in his arms Jesus said well done my son well done a life well lived.
