Loretta Veronica (Kukowski) Venable

Loretta Veronica Kukowski was born on October 28, 1933, on the family farm in northern Roseau County, Minnesota. 

Loretta worked in many states, including St. Louis Park, MN, Honolulu, HI, Rockford, IL and Fayette, MO.  She was an accountant, business manager, secretary and mother.

Loretta loved Hawaii where she snorkeled the beaches near her home.  She traveled and visited over twenty countries around the world.

Loretta passed on September 26, 2026, in Fayette, MO at the age of 92.  She had lived with her daughter, Patricia, on her farm for the last eight years.  She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Venable; three sisters, Barbara Navick, Katherine Hyzer and Josephine VanDusartz and by two brothers, Andrew and Raymond Kukowski.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theophil and Cecelia (Gerzewski) Kukowski; brothers, Stephen, Alban, Richard and Dominic Kukowski and sisters, Victoria Sestak and Julianna Lasnenski.

A Memorial Mass honoring Loretta’s life will be held at a future date at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Greenbush, Minnesota.  She will be placed at rest at St. Aloysius Catholic Church Cemetery in Leo, Minnesota.
