Mitchell "Mitch" Acton Obituary

Mitchell Earl Acton, 64, of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Mitch was born May 19, 1958, in Columbia to the late Raymond and Mary (McBaine) Acton. Mitch was a member of the Dripping Spring Christian Church where he sang in the choir. He often mowed the yards of church members that were not able to do it themselves.  For many years he was employed by Boone Clinic in the Maintenance Department.  Mitch also worked in construction, particularly concrete construction, many times alongside his son.  He enjoyed being out of doors, crappie fishing and golfing.  He was a very accomplished pool player.  Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.

Mitch is survived by his sons, Mitch Acton of Columbia and Mike Acton (Liza) of Boonville; siblings, Randy Acton (Diane) of Ashland, Charles Acton (Patty) of Pilot Grove and Rhonda Acton of Hallsville and seven grandchildren, Connor, Austin, Ava, Allison, Thomas, Brady, Jesse.
