Tyler “TY” Andrew Beasley, passed away unexpectedly on May 1, 2026. Tyler was born in Brooksville, Florida on March 11, 1990, son of Jack D. Beasley, Jr. and Cindy Beasley. Tyler married his wife, Jennifer, on March 20, 2015, in Holts Summit. Together they have three beautiful children.
From a young age, Ty was infatuated with anything that contained a motor; fast cars, motorcycles, etc. Ty spent many days working with his Uncle Andy. After graduating from Hickman High School, he rebuilt cars and his passion for working with his hands shined. He attended Baran Institute of Technology in New Suffield, Connecticut and obtained his degree as an auto mechanic. He worked at various places as an auto technician in Columbia and Jefferson City following college.
In 2019, Tyler decided he was ready for a change and took a position at PCA in Jefferson City. Through his tenure there, he had the pleasure of getting to know many police officers. They did not know it then, but they are the reason Tyler decided to go through LETI law enforcement training. Post-completion of training, Ty began serving the people of Reynolds County, Montgomery County, New Haven, and became the Chief of Police for New Florence Police Department. His bravery and commitment to public safety will forever be remembered.
Aside from his ever-growing need for adding to his knowledge, Tyler’s greatest love was for his beloved wife and children.
Tyler is survived by his wife, Jennifer and three children, of the home; his parents; his in-laws, Bruce and Betty; his “second father”- Quinten; his aunt Sharon (Allen); Michael; and his cousin Andrea. Not to be forgotten are his two dogs, a blue tongued skink, a Uromastyx, four crested geckos, a bearded dragon, a marbled day gecko, an african fat-tailed gecko, a leopard gecko, 15 tarantulas, 16 Ball Pythons, and two scorpions, and a massive colony of Isopods.
Tyler was preceded in death by his grandmother Edie, Mawmaw D, and his uncle Andy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 4-7pm at The Courtyard by Marriott Grand Ballroom located at 3301 Lemone Industrial Boulevard, Columbia, Missouri, 65201. Please note- The New Haven/AC exit is closed on US-63-please use Stadium Blvd.
