Yolande Renee Hatton, 65, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away on July 6, 2026. She was born July 23, 1960, in Columbia, Missouri, to Ben H. and Mary K. (Hardiman) Turner and married the love of her life, Kerry Hatton Sr., in Columbia on April 6, 1985.
Yolande had an exceptional eye for detail and a creative spirit that shined through everything she did. An artist at heart, she found joy in sewing, sketching and painting, bringing her unique perspective and imagination to each piece she created.
Music was another great passion in her life. She enjoyed playing the bass guitar and could often be found listening to her favorite artists, especially James Brown. Whether creating fashion, art or enjoying music, Yolande embraced the things that brought beauty, rhythm, and expression into the world.
Yolande was also known for her talents in the kitchen. Cooking came naturally to her, and she never needed a special occasion to prepare something delicious for family and friends. Sharing a meal was one of the many ways she showed her love, bringing people together with warmth, generosity, and care.
Her creativity, kindness, and ability to make others feel welcome will be remembered fondly by all who knew and loved her.
Yolande is survived by her husband, Kerry; children, Craig Williams, Chella Van Alten (Jeroen), and Kerry Hatton, Jr. (Rebecca); her mother, Mary Turner; three grandchildren, Deondre Hall, Skylar Harrington, and De-Azane Hall; two great grandchildren, Jahzara Hall and Deondre Hall, Jr. She was preceded in death by her father and three brothers.
The family of Yolande Renee Hatton expresses our deep appreciation and sincere thankfulness for the expressions of love, kindness and concern during this time. May God richly bless each of you.
